First Tee of Tri-Cities Teaching Life SkillsMany youth golf programs teach young people the skills necessary to be successful on the course, but The First Tee Tennessee in the Tri-Cities is also teaching future generations the skills they need to be successful in life.

The First Tee is a national organization which was established in the Tri-Cities in 2008.

It helps instruct young people ages seven to seventeen learn the game of golf and values to go along with it.

First Tee: Life lessons through golfIf you’re a golfer, you’ve probably heard of the First Tee program. Now, the folks who run the local organization want to make sure you know what it does.

It’s much more than golf lessons for juniors. In fact, it’s more like life lessons taught under the guise of golf.

Tri Cities Open 2020 Sneds Tour SeasonThe Tri Cities area hosts their first Sneds Tour event of the season. A full field of 78 junior golfers teed it up at Cattails in Kingsport between the ages of 8-18.

PGA Hope Expands to the Tri Cities RegionJeremy Beachner is passionate about golf and helping members of the military.

And now he’s putting those two passions together. Beachner, a Tri-Cities-based teaching pro, is leading the local efforts for a program called PGA HOPE, which brings veterans to the golf course to teach them the game and help enhance their mental, social and physical well being.
