ABOUT THE TENNESSEE GOLF FOUNDATION
PROGRAMS & INITIATIVES

The Tennessee Golf Foundation is the 501c(3) charitable affiliate of the Tennessee PGA Section and Tennessee Golf Association. Founded in 1990, the vision of the TGF is to impact Tennessee youth and the state's disadvantaged through the game of golf. The Tennessee Golf Foundation is funded solely through private individuals and corporate donations, memorials, special events and contributions from Golf House Tennessee organizations.
The Foundation impacts the Tennessee golf community in many ways through the following programs and special initiatives: | The First Tee of Tennessee has 20 program locations across Tennessee with 1,104 curriculum participants. |
The Sneds Tour is Tennessee's Premier Junior Golf Tour that offers juniors of all skill-levels the opportunity to compete in affordable events all across Tennessee.
The Kids Play Free initiative is putting an end to the "I can't play golf because it's too expensive" excuse. Junior golfers under 18 are allowed free, unrestricted access to two Knoxville area golf courses. In 2018 alone, more than 1,600 kids played 4,850 free rounds at the two facilities.
PGA Hope (Helping our Patriots Everywhere) is a flagship program by the PGA of America designed to introduce golf to Veterans with disabilities to enhance their physical, mental, social and emotional well-being.

The TGF and Special Olympics Tennessee host six tournaments from May through August with the state championships in September.
The Tennessee Golf Hall of Fame was founded to honor men and women whose outstanding contributions have made golf a better game in Tennessee.
