Tennessee Women’s Open returns to Fairfield Glade with a strong field ahead of the 27th playing
CROSSVILLE, Tenn. — The 27th Tennessee Women’s Open, one of the longest-running women’s open golf events in the nation, returns to Stonehenge Golf Club. A field full of some of the best amateurs and young professionals from around the country will arrive at Fairfield Glade with their eyes locked on the coveted title of Tennessee Women’s Open Champion.
This marks the 17th straight year Stonehenge has hosted the tournament, with the community support as strong as ever. Local residents will once again fill the grandstands around the 18th green. Fairfield Glade returns as the title sponsor for the Tennessee Women’s Open, continuing to elevate the tournament.
About the Tennessee Women’s Open:
Started in 1999, the Tennessee Women’s Open is one of the longest-running women’s Open tournaments in the country. The 54-hole event is split into two divisions, the Championship Division and the Senior Division.
The tournament has been held at Stonehenge Golf Club in Fairfield Glade since 2009. Celebrating 27 years of competition, the Tennessee Women’s Open has consistently attracted top talent from around the globe.
Past winners include current LPGA Professionals Ashli Bunch, Lauren Coughlin and Karlin Beck as well as some of the top amateur golfers in the world, like Tennessee Players of the Year Sophie Linder, Lynn Lim and Isabella Johnson. Chelsea Dantonio returns as the defending champion, collecting her first professional win at the 2024 Tennessee Women’s Open.
Notable Players at the 2025 TN Women’s Open:
Chelsea Dantonio - East Aurora, NY
The pride of East Aurora, Chelsea Dantonio, returns to defend her title as the 2024 Tennessee Women’s Open champion. A win this year would make her the first player to ever win back-to-back titles at the event. Dantonio also uses her playing experience to enhance the golf industry as an assistant professional at the renowned Quail Hollow Club.
Bella Harris - Greenville, SC
A true trailblazer, Bella Harris earned an incredible 17 varsity letters—more than any athlete in South Carolina high school history. She dominated on both the girls’ and boys’ golf teams, claiming a 3A state title, two girls’ regional championships, and even a boys’ 1A regional crown. Now a golf instructor and professional at The Rock Golf Club and Resort, now she teaches the youth while climbing the professional ranks.
Maya Hunter - St. Joseph, MI
Maya Hunter made her mark in the spring of 2024, capturing her first collegiate victory at the Lewis Spring Invite. Her consistent play notched her Top-10 finishes in all five team events was named All-GLIAC first team and GLIAC golfer of the week honors.
Isabella Johnson (a) - Murfreesboro, TN
The reigning Tennessee Girls’ Junior Player of the Year carries a boatload of momentum into Fairfield Glade. Johnson is coming off her recent win at the 93rd Tennessee Women’s Amateur, where steady play and a cool head helped her capture her second TGA title. She will look to add another Tennessee title to her trophy case at the Tennessee Women’s Open. She led the tournament after Round One last year and finished T5, the youngest competitor in the Top Five.
Alyssa Montgomery - Knoxville, TN
The 2021 Tennessee Women’s Amateur Champion will look to capture her first Tennessee Women’s Open title this week at a course she knows well. Montgomery, now a professional, has had success at Stonehenge Golf Club, but now wants to be the one with a trophy photo on the iconic waterfall on the 18th. The Knoxville native was also named the new head coach of the women’s golf team at Carson-Newman University earlier this year.
Michaela Morard - Huntsville, AL
Michaela Morard returns to Crossville, where she picked up her first professional tournament win at the 2020 Tennessee Women’s Open, then still an amateur. Recently, the University of Southern California graduate won her first tournament as a professional at the Lake Charles Regional Sports Authority Championship in Louisiana. As an amateur, Morard collected nine Alabama Golf Association titles and represented the U.S. at the 2019 Junior Solheim Cup.
Megan Tang - Southlake, TX
Megan Tang broke through in a big way in 2024, capturing her first Texas Golf Association title at the Women’s Stroke Play Championship. A standout both on the course and in the classroom, she was named to the 2024 CSC Academic All-District Team and tallied four Top-10 finishes in 2023, as recognized by WAGR.
Jessica Welch - Thomasville, GA
A staple of the Tennessee Women’s Open, Welch returns to Crossville for another run at the championship. She finished 11th last year after firing the low round of the tournament in the second round at 4-under par. Welch will look to reach the mountain top, which she’s been close to, finishing second in the 2022 Tennessee Women’s Open.
Adeena Wilcox - Newark, OH
The 2022 Tennessee Women’s Open champion, Adeena Wilcox, brings both skill and passion to the game. A former standout at Ohio State (2016–2020), she now gives back to the game as the JV golf coach at Granville Exempted Village School District, shaping the next generation with her championship experience and Buckeye grit.
Seniors
Cheryl Fox - Tiffin, OH
The reigning Tennessee Women’s Open Senior Division champion returns to Fairfield Glade to defend her title, and does so with some momentum. Fox won the Women’s Open Senior Division in her home state of Ohio earlier this year. In addition, the Director of Golf at Fostoria Country Club is also the 2019 Florida Women’s Open Senior Division Champion. Fox will look to add another title to her mantle in Crossville.
Jeannette Kohlhaas - North Charleston, SC
A former LPGA Tour player, Kohlhaas returns to Stonehenge Golf Club once again, looking to reclaim her title as the Tennessee Women’s Open Senior Division Champion. She most recently won in 2023, defeating the field three strokes.
Leslie Letner (a) - Crossville, TN
The 2023 Tennessee Senior Women’s Amateur champion and 2024 Tennessee Senior Women’s Open Low Amateur has her sights sent on another TGA title at Stonehenge.
Susan Miller (a) - Loudon, TN
A two-time Tennessee Senior Women’s Player of the Year and Tennessee Senior Women’s Amateur Champion, Miller is looking for an Open title this year. She has finished as the Low Amateur in the Senior Division the last two years at Stonehenge.
