TGA finalizes our local USGA qualifying schedule for 2021

After a year in which all United States Golf Association (USGA) qualifiers were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, local and regional level qualifiers are set to return in 2021.

The Tennessee Golf Association is set to host a number of qualifiers for national events, as we recently finalized our schedule for the upcoming season.

Our USGA slate begins in April with a pair of U.S. Open local qualifiers, scheduled for April 26 at Fox Den Country Club and April 29 at Jackson Country Club. The top finishers at the local level advance to "The Longest Day in Golf", the U.S. Open sectional round.  The 2021 U.S. Open will be held June 17-29 at Torrey Pines Golf Course in San Diego.
Our next USGA qualifier will be for the U.S. Senior Open and will take place on June 1 at Council Fire Golf Club in Chattanooga.  The 2021 U.S. Senior Open is set for July 8-11 at Omaha Country Club in Nebraska.

We will host both a U.S. Junior Amateur (June 15) and a U.S. Girls' Junior Amateur (June 17) qualifier two days apart at Old Fort Golf Club in Murfreesboro.  The U.S. Girls' Junior will be held July 12-17 at Columbia Country Club in Chevy Chase, Maryland, while the Boys' Junior is the following week, July 19-24, at The Country Club of North Carolina.

On June 24, we will host our U.S. Women's Amateur qualifier at Belle Meade Country Club to see who advances to the national championship at Westchester Country Club in Rye, N.Y., Aug. 2-8.

Our next USGA event after that won't be until July 20 when we are at Three Ridges Golf Course for a U.S. Amateur qualifier.  The 2021 U.S. Amateur is set for Aug. 9-15 at the prestigious Oakmont Country Club in Pennsylvania.

Our U.S. Senior Amateur and U.S. Senior Women's Amateur qualifiers will both be held Aug. 12 at The Grove.  The U.S. Senior Amateur is Aug. 28-Sept. 2 at the Country Club of Detroit, while the U.S. Senior Women's Amateur is Sept. 10-15 at The Lakewood Club in Point Clear, Alabama.

After that, we travel to Black Creek Club in Chattanooga for a U.S. Mid-Amateur and U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur qualifier.  The national championships are both the week of Sept. 25-30, at Sankaty Head Golf Club (Mass.) and Berkeley Hall Club (S.C.), respectively.

We will close out the year with qualifiers for the 2022 U.S. Four-Ball and Women's Four-Ball at Harpeth Hills.
