Longtime PGA Member Harry "Cotton" Berrier Passes Away

It's with great sadness that we announce the passing of Harry "Cotton" Berrier, a 67-year member of the PGA, Berrier served as the Head Pro Gatlinburg Golf Club for 44 years and was one of the "Founding Fathers" of the Tennessee PGA, helping to charter the Section in 1968.

He is a three-time board member of the PGA of America Board of Directors having served as our district director from 1974-76, 1983-86 and 1991-1994. He is a two-time TNPGA Golf Professional of the Year, a 2004 DCA Recipient and a member of the TN Golf Hall of Fame.

Berrier was also inducted into the PGA of America Hall of Fame in 2009. He was a legend in the game of golf, and he will most certainly be missed. Our prayers are with the Berrier family as we all grieve the loss of one of golf's greatest ambassadors.

Details of the service and remembrance to follow in the coming days.
