Kaitlyn Hayes Hired to Continue Progress in Memphis
Kaitlyn is an avid golfer, mentor, and Alumnus of First Tee – Lake County. Born and raised in the south Chicagoland area, she has been golfing since the young age of three. Growing up, she took up other extracurriculars like cheerleading, tennis, ran track and swam, while participating at her local First Tee chapter. After graduating High School, Kaitlyn transitioned from First Tee participant to First Tee coach.
While studying Biological Sciences at Purdue University – Northwest, she began her training to become a Recognized First Tee coach. By 2017, she became one of the youngest recognized coaches within the First Tee network and given the title Program Coordinator. That same year, she took on the additional role at First Tee – Lake County as the Co-Site Director for their Girls Golf program and increase female participation by 40 percent. An advocate for inclusivity, Kaitlyn strives to create an environment that is welcoming, empowering, and elevating.
She goes out of her way to encourage and support our youth without ever expecting praise. She does it because she wants to make a positive impact on the lives of the children she encounters. Kaitlyn truly believes in using her accomplishments as a stepping stone for the youth in order to make the world a better place.
