TGA Current COVID-19 Status

All TGA events remain suspended.  Registration remains open.  All newly registered players will remain in "pending" status.  Pending means your place in the field is confirmed but your credit card will not be charged until we know the Championship will be conducted.

With our first championship in Mid-May, the TGA will wait to make any major cancellations/postponements.  We will utilize the next few weeks to listen to the CDC and follow their rapidly changing recommendations.

This page will be updated as changes occur.

TN Senior & Super Senior Match Play Championship - May 12-15 at The Country Club, Inc - The TGA hopes to host this event as scheduled but is considering alternative dates later in the year.

TN State Open - June 2-4 at GreyStone Golf Club - With qualifying beginning in mid-May, the TGA is exploring options to move qualifying later in May and keep the same championship dates.

Pro-Am Series
All Pro-Am Series tournaments scheduled between Mar. 16 – Apr. 13 are cancelled. The TGA is in discussions with the clubs who are scheduled to host events in late April.

One Day Series
The April One Day Series event at Green Meadow Country Club has been cancelled.  The next One Day Series event will be in June at Hermitage Golf Course.

Points Events
Dogwood Invitational - Montgomery Bell Golf Course - Postponed

Lupton Memorial - The Honors Course - Cancelled

USGA Qualifying
On behalf of the USGA:
Local qualifying for the 120th U.S. Open Championship in its current form has been canceled. Likewise, qualifying for the 2020 U.S. Women’s Open Championship in its current form has been canceled.

It will be necessary for players who registered to file a new application when the restructured qualifying plan is announced. All players who registered will be withdrawn and issued a full refund of $200 by the USGA. This refund will be issued in 10-12 business days to the credit card that was provided on the application.

As of March 20, the dates for Final Qualifying, the U.S. Open Championship, and the U.S. Women’s Open Championship remain as scheduled and players who have applied as either locally or fully exempt are still registered.
