PAUL AND WES KORTH CLAIM SIXTH TENNESSEE FATHER-SON TITLE

(Fairfield Glade, TN) A three-team playoff was needed to determine this year’s Tennessee Father-Son Championship which was conducted at Stonehenge Golf Club in Fairfield Glade, Tennessee. The playoff consisted of first round leaders Trey and Bryce Lewis, Bryan and Bryce Kendrick and five-time champions of the event, Paul and Wes Korth. Trey and Bryce Lewis were eliminated on the first playoff hole and when Paul and Wes Korth both made par on the second playoff hole, they were crowned champions of the 35th Annual Tennessee Father-Son Championship.

Paul and Wes Korth fired a final round of 75 points to finish at 142 and claim their spot in the playoff. The win marks their sixth win in this event and fifth out of the last seven years. They also won this championship in 2005, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2012.

The Tennessee Father-Son Championship uses a modified Stableford Scoring format which awards points based on each player’s score for the hole. The team score is the combined point total of both the father and the son.
