McAngus CLAIMS women’s senior amateur title


Terri McAngus of Mt. Juliet erased a seven shot deficit to claim the 37thTennessee Women’s Senior Amateur Championship today at the Sevierville Golf Club. McAngus shot a final round two under par 70 for a three day total of 226 on the River Course to win her first Tennessee state championship.   Thirty-six hole leader Maggie Scott of Charleston finished second with a two day total of 228. Lynda Wimberly of Brentwood finished third with a three day total of 230.

Seven flights were formed after the first two day’s qualifying rounds, and the field was divided equally with all like scores in the same flight. The winners in each flight are listed below:
