MORRISTOWN, TENN (July 13th, 2017) The second round of the 47thTennessee Four-Ball Championship featured a pair of impressive scores from future college teammates Bryce Lewis and Jake Hall who will eventually play together at Middle Tennessee State University. On Thursday, they fed off of each other seamlessly, “We made two eagles today, that really helped. I had one on No. 5 he had one on No. 16. We each had three or four birdies out there as well,” Lewis explained. “When our partner hit a bad shot we picked each other up and made at least a par. That was a huge key today,” Hall said. The future Blue Raiders were not over exaggerating how much they shared the load, they each contributed nine scores apiece. While being medalist is a nice feather in the cap, the two rising high school seniors are not done yet. “We want to win this thing,” Lewis said.

First round co-leaders Dan Crockett and PJ Smith matched their opening round eight-under-par 64 with another 64 to claim the No. 2 seed entering match play.

Chase Roswall found himself in a familiar position as the 2017 Tennessee Match Play Champion. In that event Roswall needed a tremendous round just to make the bracket and went on to win the championship. This time he had a teammate to help him climb into the bracket portion of the championship. Spencer Cross joined forces with Roswall to produce the round of the championship. The future University of Tennessee teammates got off to a fast start, going birdie, birdie, eagle through three holes. The recent high school graduates posted the round of the tournament, -11 61 to assure themselves a spot in the bracket as the No. 3 seed.

There will be eight matches featuring 16 teams beginning Friday morning. The cut fell at seven-under-par 137.
