Wimberly, the No. 10 seed knocked off Nicole Page 4 & 3. The match of the day turned into the biggest upset of the first round. A  back and forth match throughout the day was extended when the No. 3 seed Hanley Long won the hole. Her opponent, Hannah Bratton won the match with a birdie on the second extra hole, “We both hit good tee shots on the 20th hole. I went for the green and came up just short. I hope to continue to hit solid shots,” Bratton said. Meghan Stamps who won her match 6 & 5 will meet Bratton in the quarterfinals.
